Instead of you being delivered, God wants you to live in perfect liberty instead of being healed, He wants you to live in good, divine health. But the question is are we experiencing that abundant life? Yet we have been called into it, and it is not when we depart to Heaven but the very moment we receive Christ as our Lord and Saviour. The life that God has made available through His Son is unprecedented – a life that the great prophets and righteous people of the old could only speak about. The finished work of Christ has presented numerous glorious privileges unto us as God’s people that great people of old in the likes of Moses, Isaiah, David could only dream of – things which even angels desire to look into (1 Peter 1:10-12). So they couldn’t enter into the rest that God had intended for them (Numbers 14: 29, 30). The rest of them perished in the wilderness in the space of forty years because of unbelief. Yet, of that particular generation only Joshua and Caleb could make it to the land of Promise.

God wanted more for them than just seeing them free He desired to lead them to a place of abundance (Canaan). However, that wasn’t the perfect will and plan of God for them. The whole community of Israel experienced the first stage as God’s signs and wonders eventually paced way for their deliverance. The second and final stage was to bring them into a land flowing with milk and honey.

In our foundation scripture, we can see that the salvation plan of God for the people of Israel was in twofold. ‘And I have said I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, to a land flowing with milk and honey.’ That’s the power of acting on the Rhema-Word! It did to Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Esther, David, Mary, Peter, Paul and several other great Bible characters, and it would also to you if only you embrace and act on it. Never forget that: One Rhema-Word from God can change your life forever. It’ll definitely turn out for your own good. However, if you’re indeed sure of Him to be the source of that voice, be at rest and be obedient to His leading. It might not always make sense to the natural mind. The question now is: are you opened and receptive unto the Spirit of God to receive that ‘now’ Word? Do you have a listening heart for God’s voice? Come before Him like a child goes to the father totally focus on Him with readiness to hear His still, small voice.Īfter that, you ought to act on whatever He speaks to your heart. Any time God speaks unto you directly or through someone, streams of Rhema are released unto you. Even in a vision or a dream God can give you Rhema. You can receive Rhema through a teaching, preaching and prophecy. Rhema can be defined as a specific, spoken Word from God to a specific person or group of people at a specific time, with the purpose of addressing a specific case, circumstance or situation for the now! 2) I will make you a great nation I will bless you and make your name great and you shall be a blessing.
